FOOD IN MAUI... TIPS!

Hey guys!

So I hope you are all having an amazing summer! My husband and I are waiting at the airport to return back home from an amazing trip to Maui, Hawaii! It was our honeymoon/first vacation since becoming parents and let me tell you it was much needed!!!! We chose to go to Hawaii because we fell in love with it the first time we came here together...3 years ago! I mean how could we not right??? Well I just wanted to share a few food tips we have learned over the years and times we have traveled here to Maui!

Finding amazing food! So there are plenty of great restaurants on the island. However if you choose not to have a car and you are staying on the North end of the island...Ka'anapali (where most tourists stay) then you'll want to know this.

Food can get pricey and in order to enjoy your trip to the max keep that in mind before even arriving! However there are some golden gems near by that won't necessarily break the bank and they are awesome.

First is Joeys Kitchen. It is located in the food court of Whalers Village. Which is walking distance to everything in Ka'anapali. They have your traditional Hawaiian menu and they serve breakfast as well till 11AM. For the price its unbeatable and a no brainer especially if you have the little ones along for the trip.

Our second local favorite is "Aloha Mixed Plate". HANDS DOWN the best fried rice and eggs I have ever had. Its so delicious. We took a Lyft about $11 or so from our hotel. And it is worth it. It is located in Lahaina and it is so fun to walk around the shops and Lahaina area after eating. Plus the view (like most places) is to die for.

Third Favorite Spot "Japengo's" located in the Hyatt Regency. This place is a little bit more on the pricier side but it is delicious! Their Chow Mien is incredible and decent portions to share. The fried rice is great, keep in mind it is a HUGE portion!

Best Happy Hour Spot would have to be "Hula Grill". Order their deviled eggs and short rib tacos. YOU WILL NOT be disappointed! We went back more than once specifically for happy hour haha! Also the Margarita on happy hour was our fav!

"Kimo's" in Lahaina. Again just a short Lyft ride. Amazing fish entrees and amazing views. Came to eat here for the sunset and had some of the best Mahi Maui "Kimos Way" that I have ever had. The chowder is delicious as well!

Thank you for reading everyone! I know I missed a million places but these are the 5 that stood out to us! Each time! I hope it helps to make your trip the best one ever!

Mahalo and Aloha!
